What makes the GTA series so iconic? Is it just carefree fun or a sharp satire of our society? And what are its impacts on the gaming industry and the players themselves? The discussion following the Brno screening of the film Grand Theft Hamlet will focus on the phenomenon of the GTA series, its cultural impact, controversies and how it influences the gaming industry and pop culture. Guests from the ranks of game developers and critics will offer different perspectives on this iconic series and open a discussion about ethics, storytelling and the future of open worlds in video games. The discussion will be moderated by Kuba Špiřík, game developer and organizer of Gamer Pie events. Guests will include game journalist and theatre student Kristýna Sulková and Pavel Skoták, editor of the Level magazine and game editor and columnist.
A recording of the debate will also be available to see after the screenings in Frýdek-Místek and the Bio Central cinema in Hradec Králové, where you can also try virtual reality for free during the afternoon, thanks to the cooperation with the VR studio Holodeck, from 3 pm.

We invite you to a discussion following the screening of the film Julie Keeps Quiet, which opens up robust and current topics related to the world of top sports and the position of young people in society. The story of tennis player Julie, who finds herself in a scandal at a prestigious academy, leads us to reflect on the pressure exerted on young people, why it is sometimes so difficult to speak out, and what role the environment plays – whether online or offline. The discussion will also touch on gender inequalities and the representation of young voices in society. Zuzana Tvarůžková will moderate the discussion, and renowned psychologist Kateřina Cajthamlová and producer Nela Bůšková will be among the guests.
The screening and discussion are held in cooperation with the Office of the European Parliament in the Czech Republic, and admission is free, just like the film.

We invite you to a discussion after the film A Cat's Odyssey, a visually impressive animated story about journey, cooperation and survival in a changing world. This film raises questions about man's relationship with nature, the need for respect for all living beings and the necessity to adapt to changing conditions. What role do we play in nature and animals? How is climate change affecting life on Earth, and how can we help protect nature and animal rights? How will the planned changes to European Union legislation help improve developments? The moderator of the discussion will be Sabina Vosecká, and guests will include climatologist and biodiversity expert David Storch and representatives of the organization Hlas zvířat, Tereza and Robert Plicka.
The screening and discussion are held in cooperation with the Office of the European Parliament in the Czech Republic, and admission is free, just like the film.

Come with your children to the festival, you will be rewarded not only with a beautiful film experience, but both smaller and bigger children can learn a bit of film craft and maybe one day they will grow up to be skilled filmmakers. After the screenings of Flow and Living Large, together with our partners we have prepared filmmaking workshops for children. Of course, there is also a discounted admission fee.

Even though the actors of LIVING LARGE are not flesh and blood, they are lifelike! Join us after the screening to create your own heroes for the animated film. It won't be difficult and you can soon be thinking up the plot of your future film! The workshop is designed for children aged 6 to 14 years, for younger children (under 10 years) we recommend parental assistance.

Those who dream of being able to fly, of their favourite toys coming to life and dressing themselves up can make their dreams come true with the pixelation animation technique after the screening of FLOW. Every movement is photographed, and when the film starts, things and people come to life in a completely different way than in reality. Pixilation is a very fast and simple animation technique. If you don't want to get into drawing and you're not confident in painting, pixilation is for you. All you need is good ideas.

At the same time, he is also an experienced mountain guide who has been enthusiastically showing others the beauties of the world for more than 15 years. Ondra studied physical geography at Charles University in Prague, but he spread his enthusiasm for meteorology and climatology on almost all continents.

Come with your children to the festival, you will be rewarded not only with a beautiful film experience, but both smaller and bigger children can learn a bit of film craft and maybe one day they will grow up to be skilled filmmakers. After the screenings of Flow and Living Large, together with our partners we have prepared filmmaking workshops for children. Of course, there is also a discounted admission fee.

Even though the actors of LIVING LARGE are not flesh and blood, they are lifelike! Join us after the screening to create your own heroes for the animated film. It won't be difficult and you can soon be thinking up the plot of your future film! The workshop is designed for children aged 6 to 14 years, for younger children (under 10 years) we recommend parental assistance.

Those who dream of being able to fly, of their favourite toys coming to life and dressing themselves up can make their dreams come true with the pixelation animation technique after the screening of FLOW. Every movement is photographed, and when the film starts, things and people come to life in a completely different way than in reality. Pixilation is a very fast and simple animation technique. If you don't want to get into drawing and you're not confident in painting, pixilation is for you. All you need is good ideas.

At this year's festival, we pay tribute to the unique visionary Michel Gondry! His playful imagination, poetics and innovative approach to film and music videos have made him one of the most distinctive figures in modern European cinema. In addition to his new film Mayo, Give Me a Name, which once again promises an original visual experience, we will also present a selection of his iconic works: the dreamlike romance The Science of Dreams, the cult sci-fi drama Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the surrealist fairy tale Foam of Days and a selection of his best music videos. In addition, the audience will be treated to an expert introduction that will introduce Gondry's unique style and reveal his inspirations and place in contemporary cinema. In Frýdek-Místek, the film will be presented by playwright Michael Bukovanský at the Vlast cinema and by film enthusiast Dorota Lubojacká at the Ostrava Minikino.
