Premiere of the documentary film WORLD BETWEEN US at the 32nd DEF festival

The grand premiere of the documentary film WORLD BETWEEN US will take place as part of the 32nd DEF documentary film festival in the Prague cinema Světozor. The film follows the story of Maria Tomanová, a young woman from Mikulov who decided to follow her dream to the United States. At first, she worked as an au pair, but her life path took her to the top of the fashion industry, where her face appeared in campaigns for well-known brands such as Nike, Instagram and Vogue CS. This transition from a small town in the Czech Republic to the big world of modelling is a story of success and of the challenges that Marie had to face in a new country.

The film's director and creator, Marie Dvořáková, examines Marie's personal story and complicated and often challenging journey into the world of fashion, which is not as glamorous as it may seem at first glance. Therefore, WORLD BETWEEN US offers viewers a unique opportunity to look behind the scenes at this fascinating but very tough industry.
